Your Coverage:
- Policies are written on a Primary “First Loss” basis covering the repair or replacement of damaged parts following accidental damage or fire while competing, testing or qualifying. Coverage can either be arranged on a race-by-race basis or as part of a seasonal package depending on your requirements. Premium rates for seasonal coverage are more cost effective than those purchased on a race-by-race basis.
- Your policy can be arranged to cover the full value of vehicles, either by offering an excess layer of accidental damage and fire, or a catastrophe protection layer up to the full amount insured.
Coverage is offered on the basis of these significant perils, exclusions and conditions:
- To cover the insured vehicle against PHYSICAL LOSS or DAMAGE cause by an Accident or Fire while in motion under own power and/or while the race or practice is deemed in progress.
- Additionally coverage includes the requisition, confiscation or impounding of the vehicle following an accident should the vehicle not be returned by the authorities.
Period of Coverage
- Coverage is provided for the whole period of the official race event, which includes:
- Any official testing, qualifying and racing that is part of the race weekend.
- All free race, testing session, or qualifying session is deemed in progress sessions and qualifying in addition to the race(s). Typically this is in the format of testing on the Friday, qualifying on the Saturday and racing on the Sunday of the race weekend.
- Private testing can be incorporated into policy coverage for an additional premium per half day or day. Typically any driver evaluation, track orientation or vehicle setup activities outside of the official race weekend must be treated as private testing.
Cancellation Terms
- Insurers do treat early cancellation on a risk-by-risk basis and are not duty bound to return pro rata premium on seasonal deals cut short.
